                                           PAPER

OK-- First and Foremost, you need paper. But what kind of paper? A certain type? A certain brand? A certain... what?? Well, personally for me, I really LOVE a good heavy Card stock for my Card Outers. I also like a good heavier regular Scrapbook paper, I really don't like the really thin cheaper types. Sometimes, you DO get what you pay for.

So what do I prefer, well, as I was looking through my stash- Which could really use some brothers and sisters, if ya know what I mean ;P lol- I realized I have the most of ONE brand of beautiful, and different colors, patterns, textures, thickness, etc. and that brand is a local brand to me, DCWV !! (They are about 30-45 minutes away from me!!) I just can't get ENOUGH of their Stacks and even their Matstacks!! Their paper is just GORGEOUS !! I didn't realize just HOW much of their paper I had until I started doing this page.

I seriously can't afford my addiction to their paper !! Thank goodness JoAnn's carries many of their Stacks and Matstacks for $6.00 and $4.00 respectively!!! Just look at this!!

Close-Up Action of my DCWV Collection !!
 I seriously can't get enough !!

My DCWV Collection
I can't wait to buy more of their stacks and locate and purchase more of their scrapbook papers, and man oh man !! I can't wait to get more of their embellishments !! I"M OBSESSED with them!!

You need to find what YOU like best, but I definitely DO recommend that you give DCWV a whirl, you won't regret it !!

Other good brands, especially with Cricut machine are:

* PLAIN Core'dinations Card stock (JoAnn's) (I have not had good luck with the TEXTURED Card Stock.)

*Recollections (Michael's) paper and Cardstock

*Colorbok (Walmart) Cardstock
                                             aaaand...
I'll have to round up the rest of the names in my collection a little later when I have a chance to go through it!!

If you have any questions or know of any other GREAT brands I'm missing out on, PLEASE let me know !!

Betty Crocker Dough Scraper from the Dollar Tree
So this is a product I heard about quite awhile ago, but just barely acquired it. It is called the Betty Crocker Dough Scraper and is found over in the Betty Crocker section of the Dollar Tree store. I use this to help clean bigger messes off of my Cricut mats, and although is it not quite as stiff as the regular Cricut one, it stills does a wonderful job- especially on those intricate cuts that leaves behind tons of little pieces!! It's now one of my Go To tools when cleaning off my mat !! This scraper is just over 5.5 " in width by just under 3.25" High. It's awesomely LARGE and super inexpensive, ($1.00 at the Dollar tree !!)

Pilot Precise V5 Pen Series (Extra Fine Tip)
I LOVE using these pens in my Cricut Explore. They fit nicely, and provide a very fine writing style. These have been my favorite pens to write with for years, but now, the fact that I get to use them with my favorite crafting machine, I'm over the moon !!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Now we are moving onto one of my favorite topics, ADHESIVES, and I am kind of an adhesive JUNKIE !! If it's an adhesive, I've bought it or tried it !! So the following are my opinions only, and what I have chosen to use for my Cards and Projects!!

So First and foremost, my favorite tape runner !! This will probably surprise you, because I use a different one than almost everyone else!

Xyron Mega Runner w/ 1/2 inch Dot Matrix tape inside

So, as the caption says, I use the Xyron Mega Runner. I prefer the 1/2" Dot Matrix Cartridges to anything else. I find the 1/4" is too small and is difficult to place exactly where you want the adhesive because it moves around on the tip, but the 1/2" does not. I also like how strong of a hold the Xyron brand offers. I found with other tape runners, the tape wasn't quite as PERMANENT as I prefer, but again, that is MY opinion!! But I could not craft without this product !!

Now onto another *MUST HAVE* on my list, the Xryon Sticker Makers!!

Pink Xyron: Approx. 1" ; Blue & White: Xyron 250

In case you don't know what these "machines" do or you have never heard of them, let me explain to you how wonderful they are. What you do, is take your piece of paper and run it through the machine, and it will apply an EVEN amount of adhesive to your cut or piece of paper!! They are the most wonderful machines !!

So I have 2 of the Xyron "Create A Sticker" machines. The little pink one came in a Teresa Collins Adhesives kit I purchased (told ya, I LOVE adhesives! lol). It is only about 1" wide, but it got me absolutely and forever HOOKED on these machines !! I will be purchasing the Xyron 150 (the Big "X"; 1.5") ASAP !!

The second one you see in the picture, the blue and white one, is the Xyron 250, and I actually got it from a friend I've never met in real life, but have become good friends with online, isn't that sweet of her?! It fits items up to 2.5 inches, and comes in VERY handy for card-making and my other paper projects !!

Now, one of my favorite things (I know, everything is my FAVORITE!), POP DOTS and DOUBLE STICK FOAM ADHESIVE!!

Pop Dots & Foam Adhesive

As you can see, not all pop dots are round, mine are square, because that is just my personal preference. I also have STRIPS of double sided foam adhesive. These are all designed to add a 3-D or Popped out effect to your cards or pages. I sometimes get carried away using mine!! I love them !! I don't really have a lot to say about these other than they are AWESOME! But if you have any questions regarding those, let me know, using my handy-dandy Contact form to the right!!

Next up, some things I literally just got, but first thing I did was test these products for this post.

CTMH Liquid Glass; Teresa Collins Clear Hold Adhesive
So, the 2 products pictured are pretty much the same thing, but I do the the Close To My Heart(herein referred to as CTMH) Liquid Glass to the Teresa Collins Clear Hold Adhesive that came in that kit I told you about earlier.

These products have a dual purpose, so you basically get 2 effects in 1 product!! The first use is as a regular liquid adhesive and let me tell you, they provide a VERY strong hold once dry, especially the CTMH Liquid Glass !!

The second purpose of these products is to add dimension to a projects, embellishment, etc. The Liquid Glass dries clearer than the Teresa Collins one, but they both are great! I love adding them to thing I want to have a shine, but don't want to use glitter. They also make think more 3-D in my opinion.

This next product I just got as well, but I've tested it out, and am in LOVE !!

CTMH Bonding Memories Glue Pen
This product is great for more delicate cuts, for example Tattered Lace Die Cuts, or anything you want a PRECISE application of glue to. Now, this too has a dual purpose- if you apply it and immediately adhere the cut to whatever you want to adhere it too, then it will be PERMANENT, and I mean really PERMANENT. However, if you apply it and let it dry a little bit, then adhere it, it is repositionable. So that is good if you ever want to remove it.

Last adhesive for right now(until I discover more!! hehehe). This is just a great all around liquid glue.

Tombo Liquid Glue Multi Tip
This glue a a great multi purpose liquid glue. I actually one this through a contest on Crafty Saver's Facebook page! And I'm glad I did, because it's sure come in handy. This glue has dual tips, at the top, it has a fine tip, and on the bottom it has a broader tip, allowing for more glue to come out at once.
Like I said, this is just a great every day, all around glue.

Now, Last product for today!! This is easily one of my handiest items when using adhesives like the Xyrons, Tape Runner, etc.

Adhesive Eraser
This is an adhesive eraser, and YES they actually work!! It comes in soo handy when I'm using my tape runner and Xyrons for items with say, legs, spaces in the middle, etc. All you do is take the eraser to the spots where there is adhesive that you do not want to show, and simply rub it on the are, before you know if, POOF its gone!! I absolutely LOVE this item!!

Well that's all I have for now, but as I find more products I love, I will update this post !! Hope this helps at least some of you!!

    2. Our Dollar Tree doesn't have it. They have about 40 different Betty Crocker items, but not this. So I use a wide plastic kitchen spatula for de-gunking my mats.

What's the brand name of the adhesive eraser? I sure could use one of those.

    3. It is made by Xyron, as you can tell one of my favorite brands. I bought mine through Crafty Saver, they have some of the lowest prices around.

    1. nickir0108-- I am so sorry I am just getting back to you. Do you have the AIR or the ONE? Because the Air's pen adaptor is the same as the original Explore (which is what I have) and I have never had a problem. These don't 'click' in like the Cricut Brand pens and markers, I just push them down until I feel a little resistance then STOP, and I've never had a problem. Unfortunately, I don't have access to my Explore right now to do some trouble shooting, but if you continue to have trouble, feel free to email at: corinnejklinetop@gmail.com and write the subject title as: Cricut Air Help, Commenter from blog

      Thanks, Corinne
