First up, that ever growing collection of embossing folders!! I don't have a lot yet, but I saw how much trouble people were having keeping theirs organized, so I decided to figure out a way to organize them right from the get go.
Here is the first picture:
My Embossing Folder Collection and Plates. |
So in the picture above, I made folders that fit up to a 5x7 embossing folder using my Cricut Explore, and then also used my Cricut Explore to make and write all the labels for each folder, including a 3"x3" piece of paper to show what the folder looks like. They are all housed in a "Photo Box" for 4x6 photos and the photos fit PERFECTLY !!
The black bag is a padded bag I had a friend make up to hold my A, B's, and C plates. I label mine with the manufacturer name abbreviation, the # I have assigned to it, and the name of the folder.
I also keep a catalog of the folders and their impressions, names, and numbers to make it easier to find them, easier to hold up to a project and find the right folder, PLUS I can throw it in my purse when I go shopping so I don't double buy something!!
And this is just a picture to show what the box actually looks like !!
For the files for all the items I used, you will need a Cricut Explore, and the links I provided in this post HERE .

Your awesome Corinne!! :D
ReplyDeleteAwe! Thanks Brit !!
DeleteGood idea with the catalog because I have double bought a few and had to return them. Time to get started on it now. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome! I'm glad you find this useful!! I just added a link to all the links for the folders, catalog, labels and embossing squares so you have access to all of it!! But my files for this will only work with the Cricut Explore. I think I will try to work on getting some made for CCR, but that will have to wait a few days!
DeleteGreat idea Corinne ~ which cartridge did you use to make the folders, please? I have been using Totally Tiffany's "Flipping Pages" for my Scrap Rack and I just have tooooo many folders and her pages aren't cheap. Thanks so much for this idea.......waiting to hear which cartridge to use in my Cricut Explore and I will be busy making my own!!!! You area "money saver" for me....THANKS!!
ReplyDeleteit is called "Folded Folder" on Graphically Speaking. I've included a link to a post I made with an Explore link to the folder all sized correctly. But you can also just search images for Folders and choose whatever you like best!
